At Wake Forest Baptist Church we truly believe that music is a gift from God. We believe that music can be used as a powerful ministry tool to assist the church in accomplishing its goals of worship, discipleship, evangelism, ministry, and fellowship.

At the heart of our music ministry is the desire to instill in people a love for Jesus Christ, and a desire to provide for the musical and spiritual growth of all individuals involved in the life of our church. Through the various music ministry programs and activities, people discover ways to develop and use their gifts to glorify God, to minister to others, and to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ.

We welcome and encourage anyone, who has a love for music and a desire to serve the Lord, to become involved in the music ministry.   Please contact Bryant Moxley, Minister of Music and Worship to learn more about how you can be involved in the Music and Worship ministries of Wake Forest Baptist Church.

PRESCHOOL & CHILDREN MUSIC

Kairos Singers: Our Kairos Ministry with children age 3-5th grade meets each Wednesday evening from September-May. Kairos is a word from the Greek New Testament that means “God’s time” or “sacred time”. One half of the Kairos ministry utilizes choral singing, drumming, puppets, chimes, Orff instruments and American Sign Language to help our children grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. The other half of the Kairos ministry time teaches through Bible stories, mission projects and other mission education and learning activities. Each year the Kairos Singers provide occasional worship leadership, sing for Hanging of the Greens and a special end-of-year presentation. For more information contact Bryant Moxley or Emily Patton.

Music with Babies & Toddlers:  Babies and Toddlers from birth up to age 3 are invited to come learn and develop through a time of music and movement. We use the Musikgarten curriculum specifically designed for these age groups. We offer a class for Babies (0-18 mos) and one for Toddlers (18-36 mos) during scheduled sessions throughout the year. Classes are held each Thursday at our Education Building. There is a one-time fee of $40 per family which covers the cost of your music kit.
