Dr. Bill Slater
Senior Pastor
Bill Slater has been the Senior Pastor at Wake Forest Baptist Church since 2005. He received his B.A. from the University of Richmond, his Masters of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is also certified in Spiritual Direction through Fuller Theological Seminary. Bill is married to Kathy, who is a special education teacher at Jones Dairy Elementary. They have two daughters, Kelly (and husband, Nolan) and Paige and two granddaughters, Chloe and Maggie.
Rev. Ryan Wilson
Minister of Spiritual Formation & Administration
Ryan Wilson joined the Wake Forest Baptist staff in 2020. He graduated from Furman University and then earned his Master of Divinity in Global Christianity from the McAfee School of Theology. Ryan is married to Mia and they have three children; Bates, Elsie and Benjamin.
Rev. Bryant Moxley
Minister of Music & Worship
Bryant Moxley joined the Wake Forest Baptist staff in 2014. He is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Bryant is married to Lisa and they have two daughters and sons-in-law: Anna and husband Steven and Sarah Grace and husband Adam.
Rev. Mary Langley
Minister of Children & Families
Mary Langley joined the Wake Forest Baptist staff in 2018. She graduated from Gardner-Webb University and then earned her Master of Divinity in Christian Education from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Mary is married to Mike and they have two daughters and one son-in-law, Michaela, Rachel Langley-Peters, and Stephen Peters.
Rev. Leah Harlow
Minister of Youth & Missions
Leah Harlow joined the Wake Forest Baptist staff in 2017. She earned her undergraduate degree in Christian Studies at Bluefield College in Bluefield, Virginia. She received her Masters of Christian Leadership from John Leland Seminary in Arlington, Virginia. Leah married her high school sweetheart, Cory and they have four children, Eliana, Naomi, Isaac, and Lucas.

Administrative Assistant
Denise Stinson joined the Wake Forest Baptist staff in 2005 as the Administrative Assistant. She always has a smile on her face and keeps the office running smoothly while serving the ministers and members. Denise is married to Tom and they have two children, Ashley and Steven.
Stacy Fleming
Communications Specialist
Stacy Fleming joined the Wake Forest Baptist staff in 2021 as the Communications Specialist. She graduated from University of Tennessee with a degree in Communications. She is responsible for internal and external publications as well as the website, social media, and whatever else comes up. Stacy is married to Mark and they have two children, Hannah and Tori.
Linda Lang
Financial Secretary
Linda Lang has been at Wake Forest Baptist Church since 1999, serving as our Financial Secretary. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Accounting and later became a licensed CPA. Linda is married to Dean and they have two daughters, Chloe and Jessica.
Rodney Davis
Head Custodian
Rodney Davis, a native of Wake Forest, serves as our head custodian along with his staff. Rodney is married to Phyllis and they have three children, Rodney, Jr., Lisa, and Billy. He and Phyllis also have three grandchildren.
Laura Wolfe
WEE Preschool Director
Laura Wolfe has been with Wake Forest Baptist Church WEECare Preschool since 2004, serving as Program Assistant and currently serves as the WEECare Director. She is a graduate of Chowan University and East Carolina University. Laura is married to Tom and they have three children, Thomas, Sawyer, and Anna.
Kennie Schwier
WEE Preschool Assistant Director
Kennie Schwier is the Program Assistant for the WEE Preschool after previously serving as a teacher assistant. She is a native of Wake Forest and graduated from Appalachian State University. Kennie is married to Dave and they have two sons, Jacob and Brady.
