Since the fall of 2007, Embrace Uganda has engaged in raising awareness and garnering resources to serve the children of Uganda. This ministry has been done in partnership with our Ugandan friends and partners who help us to identify and prioritize needs. Our goal is to encourage and empower a generation of orphans and families, one village at a time by facilitating and fostering personal relationships between Ugandan and American children, youth, and adults.

Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ. For many years, Wake Forest Baptist Church has participated in this wonderful ministry. Families can participate in this ministry by either filling a shoebox or by donating items for shoeboxes. WFBC usually sends 350-400 boxes per year to this ministry. Visit our website for more details.
